In the spring of 2011 I convinced my twin brother, Rudi, to finally buy a motorcycle. The previous summer I rode solo for two and half months and racked up about 8,500 miles. Through very little convincing, I was able to get him to join me on a month long trip roughly following the Continental Divide to Banff, Alberta, Canada. We left August 3, 2011 from Los Angeles at 4 A.M. in a futile attempt to beat the heat across the Mojave, the rest is history. I cannot really put this trip into words, but it changed us both. We camped every night, except for 2 separate times when we got a hotel room. We traveled through 9 states, 2 provinces, 2 countries and over 5,000 miles.
